The seasons
We are officially back! As you can see it the prenovices, (last years second year candidates) have moved up in their Salesian journey and because of this have become very busy. In addition to this year we have three new candidates and four newly professed brothers.
The candidates names are: Simon, Ronald and Miguel. The new professed brothers are: Brother John, Brother Travis, Brother Steve and Brother Peter. All of these men are extraordinary individuals and are all ready to be the best Salesians they can be for the glory of God and the evangelization of the youth. Each of these men will hopefully tell a little about each other over the coming weeks. That way not only can you understand us all a bit better, but you can also pray for us all the better.
My name is Joshua Sciullo, and I would like to talk about fall. You see, fall is a very specially time, even though everything is changing weather wise, it can also show us our life better. We all know how life is and how life has its ups and downs. At one particular point we may feel as if we are on a mountain and at another time we may feel as cold as winter, or as lukewarm as fall. But even if we do fall into the depths of spiritual winter, we still have the opportunity to rise from the cold through confession.
Likewise, if we desire to stay hot and aflame for the love of God, we must then receive communion frequently and pray often. If we do this then not only will we be as hot as a summer day, but we will then warm up those whom are as cold as winter. Moreover, in this new school year I wish blessings on all of you and a great school year.(That is if you are in school.)
God Bless - Josh
