"I have come to set the earth on fire,
and how I wish it were already blazing!"

These are the words we read in today's Gospel of Jesus to his disciples and in turn to us. (To see what else Jesus had to say in the Gospel today, check out the link above.) The question we ask ourselves here in the house today is: how do I set the world on fire with the love of Jesus Christ? Today being Thursday means that weekly apostolates begin tonight with Spanish Youth Ministry at the Don Bosco Youth Center here in Orange, NJ (Open from 7-10pm). This means that we are all gearing up--preparing ourselves spiritually and fueling our hearts to the brim in order to set the hearts of the youth on fire with the love of God.

One way in which people are preparing their hearts for the weekend's apostolates, those who do not have apostolates tonight, is by attending XLT from 7-9pm tonight. An event put on by the community of Salesian sisters and their students at Mary Help of Christians Academy, XLT is meant to be a night of praise, reconciliation, and fellowship. Most of the guys take advantage of this event with great joy to bring forth the youthful Salesian love to the young men and women who attend.

Above is a video of the beauty of worship
in the hearts of the youth.

Also going on this weekend is the night beloved and looked forward to by many--The Visitation. This is the first Visitation of the year, and all are very excited for it to kick-off! It is bound to be a night of complete praise, complete adoration, and complete GLORY! This ministry calls Young Adults in particular to come and worship with us. Evening Prayer, Adoration, Confession...not to mention fellowship to follow. Special appearance by Kevin Heider and his musical talents after Adoration.

So, as we prepare ourselves for the calling of God in our lives, we bring Him the unlit wicks of our hearts. We thank you for your prayers and invite you to bring your wick to the Lord as well. If you are in the Greater New Jersey area and would like to attend, we'd love to have you! If you're far away, we invite you to join in our prayer--in bringing all of ourselves to Lord in emptiness to be filled to the brim with His fueling graces. And all this that we might set the world ablaze with love.
All for His Greater Glory.
St. Paul of the Cross, pray for us.
