Let go and let God.

Letting Go.
Some times, particularly in community life, there arises some disturbance, some conflict or miscommunication. We should expect this, for we are all broken, imperfect beings. But how difficult, yet incredibly beautiful it is when we humble ourselves. How many graces are dispensed from our Lord, how many souls can be saved by our simple denying of ourselves and our own pride! It seems easy...until we find ourselves in the situation, in the heat of the moment. Then, suddenly certain things go a little fuzzy and we lose ourselves. This losing of ourselves is a great thing...if we are finding God in return. If we are simply venting our aggression on another, perhaps this isn't the sort of loss to self that brings about strides in holinesss.

Letting God.
The second part. We must let God! I mean this not only in the sense of little situations mentioned above, but in life itself. How every small act of humility leads to the complete giving of ourselves to our Lord! O that we might be so completely lost in Him that our identities may be magnified! Let this forever be a reminder for us: the actuality of Christ is our potentiality. Suffering, death, resurrection, miracles, pure love, and all else that Christ embodies in His being could be ours...if we simply deny ourselves.

So, go get 'em! Go save some souls! And find joy in it!
