He will restore ALL THINGS to Himself...

Office of Readings, from an ancient homily:

"The throne formed by cherubim awaits you, its bearers swift and eager. The bridal chamber is adorned, the banquet is ready, the eternal dwelling places are prepared, the treasure houses of all good things lie open. The kingdom of heaven has been prepared for you from all eternity." 

These are the words of Jesus to Adam as He went down into hell to RESTORE ALL THINGS TO HIMSELF. And these are also Christ's words to us today: "“Awake, O sleeper, and rise from the dead, and Christ will give you light!” May we be awakened to new light this day in the name of our Lord and Savior!

 

Let us rise to the place prepared for us! Let us enter the holy chamber with our Lord! Let us claim the restoration of all things in Jesus Christ with our very lives!
It is our lives that tell the story. It is our lives that draw all things back to Christ. It is our lives that make Christ's life present, an ever-present reality. Let us not live life in vain!
