The Trust Factor

Have you ever wondered if all the saints were connected somehow? Other than the fact of loving God, all the saints have one quality in common. This quality is called trust, this may seem odd to us, but the beautiful fact is that it is a divine and holy trust. However, what we believe to be trust is a simple human notion, this belief stems from the idea that we trust a person who is dear to us, or we trust the cold hard facts of math. Either way, we tend to use the same word for something that has a slightly different meaning. But the trust I speak of is a trust of God, that trust shows in a person a complete devotion to God. Regardless, it is not the trust that generates the devotion. But love, through trust and all of the other virtues culminates into one massive relationship, for which blossoms and brings the person into unity with God. Then in that moment we simply see the exterior glory of that relationship, and in such words call that great trust between the two. In addition to this, we then see the unconditional act or love between the person and God, this act we see as simple trust. That trust, however on the outside, releases the person in such a way to make them freely give up their own will for God, whom they love so greatly. So when you see a person say "Not my will, by thine be done." you will see the trust among the persons, but what lays underneath the persons is an exultant love which compels the person to give of oneself unconditionally to the other.

That my brothers and sisters is the Trust Factor.
